I am often sheepish about admitting something… I was a high school journalism teacher. For 15 years.

With a shift into sales education and technical course creation, it was a natural transition from classroom to corporate, thanks to my second master’s degree in educational media technology. (My first is a Master’s of Journalism.)
Organization, steadiness, media and communication skills, leadership, and curriculum creation are just SOME of these transferable skills.
Sharing this is important context to my story and success in product marketing. And boy, I have not only succeeded, looking back, but I have done it all–in no particular order:
• Establishing the PMM function
• Establishing PMM processes
• Surveys, insights, research
• Customer Advisory Boards
• Sales enablement
• Sales training
• Marketing content and strategy
• Competitive analysis and insights
• Positioning and Messaging for website/brand overhauls
• Positioning and Messaging for new product launches
• Team leader
• Strategic oversight and establisher of OKRs
Do any of these seem like needs for your organization? How can I help you get off and running in 2025?
